Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Monday that trilateral peace talks involving Ukraine, Russia, and the United States remain 'not yet cancelled' for later this week, though he acknowledged significant uncertainty.

'I cannot confirm they will happen. But I also cannot say they will not,' Zelensky told reporters in Kyiv. He described the situation as 'fluid' and said the final decision rests partly on Washington's priorities given the Iran crisis.

US Special Envoy Keith Kellogg has been shuttling between Kyiv and Moscow but has not publicly confirmed a meeting date. A Kremlin spokesperson said Russia 'is always open to negotiations' but offered no further details.

European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas welcomed any progress toward talks but said EU member states 'will not accept any deal that surrenders Ukrainian sovereignty.'

Zelensky said the talks would need to address at minimum a full ceasefire along the current line of contact, the withdrawal of Russian forces from four annexed oblasts, and security guarantees backed by NATO members.
